While searching around on various conference related sites, I found an interesting thread about the West Coast Conference possibly looking to expand. The three schools that were mentioned were University of the Pacific, Seatle University and yes; Denver. In reading the comments there appears to be a good amount of support for Denver if they were to go to from 8 to 10 members. The first article of the threat said WCC expansion soon? Posted by Dons Central on 2/5/2007, 6:41 am Within a month or so the WCC will be taking a vote about if they want to expand, and if they do, what combination of Seattle, UOP, and Denver they would take (all 3 schools are interested in joining). I think of all the possibilities ever discussed this one would make the most sense and the only two sports that all their members participate in that we don't have are cross country and baseball, which probably wouldn't be that hard to add. Here is the link to the thread members4.boardhost.com/donscentral/msg/1170686466.htmlLet's hope that this rumor may be the one we've been waiting for. Imagine the rivaleries with Gonzaga's, Pepperdines, Loyola, etc. vs. the what we've got now with the Sun Belt.

I'd love to see it, but I can't think of one good reason the WCC would want Denver.
